- The aim of this paper is to develop a permanent magnet finger tracking technique for use in day to day computer interaction as well as in the field of medical diagnostics such as stroke rehabilitation. Although several finger tracking techniques are available today, they are either bulky and power intensive or provide low accuracy with regards to tracking ability. In areas such as stroke rehabilitation and virtual-reality interaction, the weight and size of wearable sensors is critical to performance. As such a light weight, compact, tracking system, is desired. This paper discus the design of such a system which includes modeling and experimental confirmation.
